Mr. S.G.J. Habets
Susanne Habets has been working as a lawyer since 1999. She worked for almost 15 years as a labour law specialist (later she also became specialized in sports law) at Thuis & Partners lawyers. In September 2015 she founded her own law firm.
Susanne attaches great importance to an honest solution-oriented approach of matters and a business constructive and pleasant cooperation. She represents both employers and employees, providing advice and litigating in such disputes as those involving dismissals, sick leave and re-integration, employee representation, collective labour agreements, directors appointed pursuant to articles of association, reorganizations and restructurings, employment terms and conditions, working conditions and accidents on the job, as well as other issues relating to labour law.
Susanne successfully completed the Grotius Academy’s training in Labour Law. She is a member of the Dutch Association of Labour Law Lawyers.
Furthermore, Susanne is a member of the Maastricht University Disputes Committee.
Susanne Habets has registered employment law as principal legal practice area in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister). Based on this registration she is required to ten training credits per calender year in this registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
Besides her law practise in labour law Susanne also works on sports related legal matters. Susanne has accomplished the postgraduate course on Sports, Sports organizations & Law at the University of Amsterdam. During this course subjects such as labour law, liability, disciplinary proceedings, image rights. etc. were treated. Susanne has knowledge and experience when it comes to football regulations and she advises sports organizations and athletes. Susanne is a member of the Dutch Association of Sports & Law.
